G. Peter Taylor
After graduating from the Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario in 1968, Peter joined Mcleod Young Weir (now Scotia Mcleod Inc) where he began his institutional career in 1972. Subsequently, Peter held senior positions at Gardiner Watson, Levesque Beaubien (now National Bank Financial), Sprott Securities and HSBC James Capel, heading up their institutional efforts. Under his direction, each of these firms saw significant growth in their institutional business as well as a substantial improvement in market share. After approximately 30 years of servicing the Canadian institutional marketplace, Peter has a valuable and broad list of contacts within the Pension, Mutual fund, Bank and Money Management arenas. He joined Jennings Capital in September 1999 to assist in the build-out of the firm’s institutional department (sales, trading and research) and the expansion of the company’s distribution capacity and research product. In 2006, Peter became President and Co-CEO with longtime friend, Rob Jennings.
