Richard Blackman

Richard completed the Canadian Securities Course with Honours and following joined Bell Gouinlock as an investment advisor in Halifax. Only after a few years working in the industry, Richard achieved second place in the Chronicle Herald Nova Scotia investment advisor’s stock picking competition and won first place in the picking competition a few years later. He was also voted best investment advisor by his peers while at Dean Witter, Halifax. Richard was selected for the Richardson Greenshields President’s Round Table and appointed Vice President with Richardson Greenshields becoming the first Chairman’s club member from the Maritimes. Richard was also appointed Vice President with RBC Dominion and then moved on to join Midland Walwyn/Merrill Lynch/ CIBC World Markets. In 2000 Richard was appointed to the Merrill Lynch Canada “Leadership Club” for outstanding achievement. He joined Acadian Securities as Vice President, Equities prior to joining Jennings Capital Inc. in 2008 and maintaining his Investment Advisor role.
